As Chairman of NIG, my responsibility is to drive investment into Nigeria and position NIG as the preferred and trusted partner for global investors seeking opportunities in Africa.

Chidi is an experienced entrepreneur with almost 30 years hands-on experience of running various businesses in different sectors from entertainment to engineering. This has enabled him gain valuable experience on inward investment projects, raising finance, PPP, risk management and business consolidation projects.Saving costs, increasing business productivity and transforming business value for his clients who are usually senior (CxO) stakeholders within business/technology streams are his passion.

He focuses on helping organisations reduce OPEX through proper Asset Management & Maintenance and has been involved in major projects across the world particularly in the UK, US, France, Poland, Nigeria and Algeria. He has worked with very high profile clients like PriceWaterHouseCoopers (PwC), BP Oil, Bank of America, CB Richard Ellis, Interserve, FCO, Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS), Total, HSBC, NNPC& Sheraton Hotels.

He has been involved in matching genuine investors with bankable projects including:

  • Raising Bank Guarantee/SBLC to the tune of $2.5 billion USD for a steel plant
  • Arranging a $100 million USD loan for a solar project
  • Equity investment in a $20 million USD manufacturing project

He is also the CEO of Codub Group of Companies (www.codubgroup.com), which started operations in the UK in 2002 with offices in Manchester, London, Abuja and Lagos. In addition, he serves as a director of various companies in the UK and Nigeria.

Chidi is also passionate about developing economies especially Africa and in 2012, he headed the team that launched a summit in London to educate people on the need for good Asset Management and Maintenance Culture (www.assetsummit.com). Following the success, a Waste Management Summit was launched in Abuja in 2015 (www.assetandwaste.com).
